Google extended its Kormo Jobs app to India on Wednesday. Kormo Jobs began in 2018 first in Bangladesh and was subsequently extended in 2019 to Indonesia. The Kormo Jobs app lists jobs and also helps individuals to build their CVs. Google’s latest effort comes with Microsoft LinkedIn as well as Indian-born job search portals such as Naukri and TimesJobs, to link the lakes of employment seekers with their potential employers.
Kormo Jobs lets you identify and apply for appropriate matches using your profile. We also offer tools to update your career and improve your profile. The app also provides the option of creating a digital CV with specific details that can be shared or printed via the app.
But Google now renames the job location on Google Pay to Kormo Jobs to provide users with a consistent experience. “We will continue to invest in it with new features and jobs so that its users can continue to benefit its convenience,” said Bickey Russell, Regional Manager and Operations Lead, Kormo Jobs, Google, in a blog post.
Google Pay Jobs Spot has been designed specifically for starting positions. Google will compete with LinkedIn and India’s work portals, like Naukri, shine.com, and TimesJobs, for beyond entry positions with Kormo jobs.
The Google app can also make it more difficult to win the competition for classified Quickr and Olx advertising platforms with job listings for job seekers.
Google partnered for the Indian Search Engine, in April 2018, with career sites such as Aasaanjobs, Freshersworld, Headhonchos, IBM Talent Management Solutions, LinkedIn, Quezx, and Shine. The Google for Jobs function debuted in the USA in 2017 inspired that model.
