A Jio wireless network router with information on its alleged price and dimensions has appeared on the Internet. The new technology is being developed through Jio’s trials of a networked mesh service in India.
The router on the surface was apparently designed and operates with different mesh nodes in order to boost coverage over the Internet by a Karnataka-based electronics maker, Neolync Electronics.
JioFiber clients are entitled to receive several new high-speed broadband plans that fit with their mesh deals. The Jio Wi-Fi mesh router was listed as a pricing mark of Rs. 2,499 in the Smart Market platform, backed by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, as stated by the blog Telecom Talk.
A Jio logo is on the top of the router and provides Wi-Fi and LAN Connect status indicators. The Jio Wi-Fi Mesh router is available throughout India, as the Smart Consumer website reveals. However, the official Jio site does not have such details.
“Enjoy the best Jio WiFi Mesh experience in every room of your home with JioWiFiMesh service,” On its web, the company said. In addition, since September last year, a video is available on YouTube that offers an insight into Jio ‘s experience with mesh services.
Similar to Jio, Airtel has recently begun to deliver Airtel Xstream fiber mesh technology. The telco partnered with Linksys to offer a three-node mesh system that covers 3,500 square feet of space. In addition, users of Airtel need to sign their annual rent plans for the Rs.24,999 to get the network linked to their broadband network.
