The newest business in the 5 G chipset portfolio is MediaTek Dimension 1000C Cell SoC. The company states that it offers advanced AI features, improved display performance, and a premium 5 G experience.
In addition, the LG velvet-the announced the “first MediaTek powered 5G smartphone in the United States” was also revealed by MediaTek on the national 5 G network of T-Mobile with this new SoC. It is available from 10 September in the United States and T-Mobile offers a monthly payment plan.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000C Specifications
With four Cortex-A77 nodes and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked with up to 2GHz, this octa-core SoC is supported. The graphics are managed by the Mali-G57 GPU. Up to 12 GB clocked LPDDR4x RAM with 1.866MHz and USF 2.2 storage can be provided by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000C.
The Dimensity 1000C can accommodate up to one single 64-megapixel sensor or up to 32 megapixels + 16 megapixels as far as the camera’s support is concerned. For the SoC, 3,840×2,160 pixels is the full grab size.
The Dimensity 1000C has incorporated Mixed Duplex 5G-CA 5 G support for the networking, allowing smooth handling between two 5 G connections. It is sponsored by the North American carriers in TDD+FDD, TDD+TDD, and FDD+FDD. The 4 G, 4×4 MIMO, Wi-Fi 5 (a / b / g / n / ac), Bluetooth v5.1 are the supported facilities.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000C supports AV1 video decoding for higher resolution and higher power efficiency with Netflix and YouTube. It is capable of running double displays with a Full HD+ resolution for flip or folding phones or a single 120Hz monitor.
Also, it was announced that this Dimensity 1000C SoC will power the LG Velvet and that T-Mobile has announced that the phone is to be sold in the US beginning on 10 September onwards. The price is 588 dollars in the country (around Rs. 43,000).
