OnePlus Unveils HydrogenOS 11 With New Features – What to Expect

OnePlus in China has launched a number of new features, interface changes, and enhancements to the Android 11-base HydrogenOS 11. HydrogenOS is an OnePlus user interface for your phones in China and while not the same for the rest of the world as OxygenOS, provides an idea of what one might expect in the next update to OxygenOS 11.

The latest Alternate view, the revised weather application, the revamped dark subject, gallery changes, voice notes, etc. have been seen on OnePlus.

A live stream was hosted by OnePlus on August 10 in China where HydrogenOS 11 based on Android 11 was introduced. It’s not Google Mobile Services, unlike OS’ regional version – OxygenOS.

It has some new features which will possibly also take place when it is launched with OxygenOS 11. HydrogenOS 11 is available in China for download and some new features are presented in the changelog in its official forum.

Always-on Display: OnePlus recently unveiled the Always-on Display feature, the subject it was created in collaboration with Parsons College in the United States. It is now in HydrogenOS 11 and shows an upright line in the center of the panel that, with the time and date passing, goes from top to bottom. It also indicates a cumulative number of times the phone has been unlocked from the uptime of the device.

Gallery App: The new interface and integrated image and video editing functionality in the Gallery application. From the OnePlus video on Weibo, the Gallery app has three tabs that you can swipe open. The photo and video layout has changed as well.

Weather App: New animations and backgrounds were added to the pre-installed Weather app. Depending on the real weather, it displays weather effects. The regular forecast is also supported.

Improved Dark Mode: According to the changelog, HydrogenOS 11 was introduced with a shortcut switch in dark mode. It can also be triggered at certain times automatically or depending on the sunset and sunrise.

Memory Management: Without using more RAM, the latest memory management system of ORM will run more applications at the same time, adding device changes to the background.

Other Features: The new operating system also includes the one-handed mode for improved usability, a new live wallpaper that changes according to the changes in the sky, three new meditation themes (Zen mode), enhanced voice notes for conversion from word to text, and more.
