There’s still time for 2020 and, Suzuki revealed the model for Hustler Compact SUV. The expected price for this Japanese SUV is also unveiled. Conforming the Kei car regulations in the nation, this one is making a move into the second generation.
What’s New with the Second Generation Hustler?
The technical detail, price, and model for Hustler had been much awaited. With the evolutionary retro styling, the SUV holds on to all new elements under the skin.
It is based on Suzuki Heartect offering underpins for the new model mirroring WagonR and adorned with various cosmetic changes. Considering the Kei car regulations as said before, the brand has designed its model with a view to avail light passenger vehicles in Japan. There is further, more legroom in the cabin for this model and the wheelbase has been increased by 35mm.
Since exteriors often remain in the highlights, the Suzuki Hustler comes with an LED projector headlight setup within a circular casing. The bumper head and tail light have been redesigned too. It comes with the same boxy design with tweaked interiors.
There are noticeable changes made to the car’s dashboard and several premium features had been added. There’s a touch screen infotainment display. It also has improved analog-digital instruments cluster along with seats that are much more comfortable than before.
The 2020 Suzuki Hustler model is powered by a naturally-aspirated 658cc 3-cylinder petrol engine. It offers two options; turbocharged and standard. The standard engine offers a maximum of 49 HP power and 58Nm torque. On the other hand, the turbocharged version offers 64HP power and 98Nm torque. Along with this CVT transmission is also included as a standard.
The collision avoidance system, camera-guided pedestrian detection system, cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and other features add on to some of the best elements of self-driving.
Price for Suzuki Hustler Compact SUV
The starting price for the Suzuki Hustler Compact 4×2 variant is expected to be 1,612,600 yen that is 10.45 lakhs Indian Rupees. While for the 4×4 variant the price is 1,790,800 yen that is 11.62 lakh Indian Rupees.
Since it is developed considering the Kei regulations, these are perfect for Japanese markets. Its arrival in the Indian markets cannot be expected anytime soon.
